5.2. Extension Motion Control Axis Status Extension Input Port Assignment
The status of the extension motion control axis can be assigned to the indicated extension input
port (Port No. 1000 to 3999).
Status can be easily acquired without using XAST Command.
(Refer to the section for XAST Command for the detail of status which can be acquired.)
[How to Set Up]
1) Extension Motion Control Axis Status Assignment Start Port Number (I/O Parameter No.
597)
Indicate the start number of the extension input ports that the status is to be assigned.
If a number in the range of the extension input ports (Port No. 1000 to 399) is not indicated,
Error No. 678 “Extension I/O Port Assignment Parameter Error” would occur. The number
of points to use for the extension input port is to be determined by the number of axes that
the port is assigned and the number of status.
2) Extension Motion Control Axis Status Assignment Bit Pattern (I/O Parameter No. 598)
Indicate the status to be assigned to the extension input ports. Make the status to be read
in to an extension input port to 1, and make the one not to be read to 0 and express in the
bit pattern, and convert it into hexadecimal numbers to set it in.
The relation between each bit and each status is as shown in the figure below. However,
“0” will be read out for a bit with no status assigned. Also, when all from bit 0 to 31 are set 0,
this feature will become invalid.
