The Firewall Rule Configuration page shown in Figure 51
appears. Note Figure 51 shows the page with the
Protocol
Type
pull-down menu displayed.
3. Enter values in the Firewall Rule Configuration page as
indicated in the field definitions in Table 9.
4. Click
Save Rule
. The rule is saved.
Repeat Step 2 through Step 4 to add additional rules.

To clear the fields in the rule configuration page and
start over, click
Restore
.

Rule Action

NOACTION
The action to perform on packets that match the rule IP
address/port criteria. BLOCK drops the packet. PERMIT passes
the packet. A rule which has NOACTION is the default catch-all
rule and it should be the last rule in the table.
Source IP Address
IP address
Default: 0.0.0.0
This is the source IP address for the packets received at the
satellite router. This is used in conjunction with
Source Subnet Mask
to define the set of matching source IP addresses.
Source Subnet Mask IP address
This is the IP address mask associated with
Source IP Address
. An
address mask of 0.0.0.0 is considered as a
don't care
value, where
any IP address matches the configured IP address. Set bits in the
mask do not have to be contiguous.
Destination IP
Address
IP address
Default: 0.0.0.0
This is the destination IP address for the packets received at the
satellite router. This is used in conjunction with
Destination Subnet
Mask
to define the set of matching destination IP addresses.
Destination Subnet
Mask
IP address
This is the IP address mask associated with
Destination IP
Address
. An address mask of 0.0.0.0 is considered as a
don't care
value, where any IP address will match the configured IP address.
Set bits in the mask do not have to be contiguous.
