Connecting the
HX50/HX100 remote
terminal to a computer
Using an Ethernet cable, connect the remote terminal to the
remote user’s computer as shown in Figure 31. You can also
connect an Ethernet hub, router, or switch to the HX50 or HX100
to support additional computers that may be connected to the
remote user’s LAN.
If the customer
cannot use enterprise
resources
If, after connecting the remote terminal to the computer, the user
is unable to use resources on the enterprise network, configure
the installer laptop so its network properties match those of the
remote user’s PC. Refer to
Appendix D
for detailed instructions
for setting network properties. Then:
1. Connect the installer laptop to the remote terminal with an
Ethernet cable and open a web browser.
