It is recommended that the remote terminal be protected
by a surge protector. Power surges are a common cause of failure
for electronic devices.

In countries outside North America, the remote terminal
may be plugged directly into a 240V outlet with a replacement
power cord. Different countries may have different standards and
requirements.
