Dispose of the removed the extinguishant discharge abort that is confirmed faulty.   

5.5.7 Replacing a Fire Cylinder (CE) 

Prerequisites 

A spare fire cylinder of the same model is available and functional. 

Impact on the System 

The fire extinguishing system stops working during the replacement.   

Preparations 

Tools: pallet truck, Phillips screwdriver, M8 Phillips screwdriver, protective gloves, adjustable 
wrench, pipe wrench, step ladder 

Materials: spare fire cylinder, sealing tape 

Documents: fire extinguishing device layout diagram (CE) 

Skill requirement: fire engineer 

 

 

 

For the diagrams, see the initial configuration parameter manual for the solution in use.   

 

Before replacing the fire cylinder, inform the related administrative departments of the 
temporary downtime of the fire extinguishing system. After the replacement, inform the 
administration department that the system has become normal.   

Procedure 

Step 1

 

Disconnect the battery cables, and switch off the input circuit breaker of the extinguishant 
control panel.   

Step 2

 

Move the new fire cylinder using a pallet truck to a position adjacent to the pre-fab. module 
door.   

Step 3

 

Disconnect the interconnection terminals on the electric control head from the extinguishant 
control panel. Remove the electric control head by rotating it counterclockwise.   

Step 4

 

Disconnect the fire cylinder and fire extinguishing pipeline.
