Procedure
Step 1
From the home screen, select
Call
to display the
Call
screen.
TIP
From the home screen, you can access the
Call
screen directly by pressing a number key on the remote
control.
Step 2
Enter the name, IP address, or telephone number of the site. Then set the call rate and call type.
NOTE
If you set the call type to
Auto
or
SIP
, select
Video call
to make a video call.
Step 3
Press on the remote control to call the other party.

5.1.5 Initiating a Conference from the Favorite Conferences Screen
You can initiate a conference by defining the sites that will join the conference and setting
conference parameters on the favorite conferences screen.
Context
When initiating a conference from the favorite conferences screen, you only need to change the
settings of the preset parameters to complete the conference configuration. Then you can initiate
the conference.
Procedure
Step 1
From the home screen, select
Favorite Conferences
to display the
Favorite Conferences
screen.
Step 2
Select a conference, and then perform the following operations as required:
l
Press
or on the remote control twice consecutively to initiate the conference.
l
Select
to delete the conference from the favorite conferences.
l
Select
to edit the conference, for example, to add a site to the conference or change
the settings of the conference parameters listed in
NOTE
When initiating a conference using the built-in MCU, you do not need to set the parameters listed in the
following table. For details about how to use the built-in MCU to initiate a conference, see section
Initiating a Conference Using the Built-In MCU
.
