After upgrading, specify whether to restart the terminal as prompted.

11.2.2 Upgrading Software Using the Minimum System

If upgrading the software locally failed, the software should be upgraded using the minimum
system.

Context

Before upgrading, note the following prerequisites:

l

A copy of the destination version of software is available on the computer.

l

The computer is connected to the terminal using a crossover network cable or a switch.

CAUTION

l

Replace the current software during the upgrade if the versions of the current and destination
software are the same.

l

Turn the switch on the rear panel of the terminal to 

Load

, and then restart the terminal. The

IP address of the terminal is changed to 

172.16.21.114

. Ensure that the IP addresses of the

computer and the terminal are in the same network segment.

Procedure

Step 1

Change the IP address of the computer to a static IP address, such as 

172.16.21.115

, and then

set the subnet mask to 

255.255.252.0

.

Step 2

Turn the switch on the rear panel of the terminal to 

Load

.

Step 3

Restart the computer and the terminal.

Step 4

Extract the compressed file of the upgrade software on the computer.

Step 5

Run 

UpgradeTool.exe

 to display the upgrade window.

Step 6

Select all the items, click 

Browser

, and then find the file in .dat format.

Step 7

Enter the IP address of the terminal, that is, 

172.16.21.114

Upgrade
