Electric Starter/Starter Clutch
Check fo r loose or poorly connected sta rter
motor cable, and open cable.

Abnormal
Poorly con nected battery term i nals

Open circuit i n sta rter motor cable
Clicks
With the ignition switch " O N " push the sta rter
Connect the starter motor term i n a l to the bat-
button and check for a "Click" sou nd from the tery positive terminal di rectly.

No cl ick
Disconnect sta rter relay switch con nector, and
check the relay coi l g round line as below for
conti n uity:
1 . G reen/Red term inal-to-cl utch switch d iode­
to- n e utra l switch l i n e (with tra n s m ission
i nto neutra l and cl utch lever released).
2. G reen/Red term inal-to-cl utch switch-to-side
stand switch line ( i n any gear except neu­
tral, and with the clutch lever pul led i n and
the side stand up).
