Ignition System Inspection
NOTE

Check the system com ponents a n d wi res step-by­
ste p accord i n g to t h e t ro u b l es h oot i n g c h a rt o n
pages.
Remove the seat (page 2-2).
Disconnect the connector from the ignition control module
(ICM) and conduct these tests at the con nector.

Ignition Coil Inspection
Measu re t h e pri m a ry coi l resista nce between the termi­
nals.
Standard: 2 - 4

Measure the resistance between the spa rk plug caps.
Standard: 23 - 27 kO

switch ON and the engine stop switch at R U N .
