Alternator
N OTE
•
The engine oil wil l run out when the left crankcase cover is removed. Set a clean oil pan u nder the engine and add
the recommended oil to the specified level after the insta l lation.
•
The left cra n kcase cover (stator) is magnetical ly attached to the flywheel, be carefu l to the removal/instal lation.
•
Apply a light but thorough coating of liquid sealant to the crankcase as shown .

Removal Order
( 1 ) Alternator connector
(2) Left cra n kcase cover bolt
(3) Left crankcase cover
(4) Gasket
(5) Dowel pin
(6) Stator wire holder
(7) Stator mounting bolt
(8) Stator assembly
Flywheel Removal Order
(9) F lywheel bolt
( 1 0) Washer
( 1 1 ) F lywheel
O'ty Remarks
Insta l lation is i n the reverse order of remova l.

1 At instal lation, apply sea lant to the g rommet a n d insta l l
the g rommet securely i nto the.groove i n t h e l eft
crankcase cover.
Insta l lation is in the reverse order of remova l .
1 Apply clean engine oil to the bolt th reads.

Before insta l lation, wipe any oil off the mating su rface of
the cra n kshaft and flywheel.
