Ignition Switch Replacement
Remove the left middle cover stay assem bly ( page 5-4).
Remove the screw and ignition switch cover.
Remove the ignition switch m o u nting bolts using a d ri l l,
then remove the switch.
I nsta l l the new ignition switch and new mounting bolts.
Tighten the mounting bolts u ntil the head twist off.
Insta l l the left middle cover stay assembly ( page 5-4).
Side Stand Switch
Inspection
Disconnect the side stand switch 3P ( G reen ) connector and
check for contin uity between each color of wi re terminal
as shown i n the chart below.
There should be contin uity between the
o-o
positions on
the fol l owing chart u nder the conditions shown here.

Removal/Installation
Disconnect the side stand switch 3P ( G reen) connector.
R e m ove the s i d e sta n d switch m o u nt i n g bolt a n d side
stan d switch.
Instal l the switch i n the reverse order of removal .
Torque:
10
N·m
(1,0
kg-m, 7 ft·lb)
NOTE
•
A l i g n the switch p i n with the side sta nd hole and
a l ig n the switch g roove with the side stan d retu rn
spring holding pin.
