Distribute the changes to the community. After you distribute the changes, the selected NetWave signals
are available for routing to any VistaMax destination that has them included as sources.
Repeat this procedure for the Destination Include List. However, only the NetWave host device typically
needs to set any Destination Include lists. Also, the only signals included are those fader channels, and the
external input, that are set to use a networked source, since their sources are most often set using a
Source-Destination selector panel or by routes in a system setup macro file.
To remove any sources from an Include Signals list, select the signals and click
.
Macro Files
Macros files are the third type of signal that can be included on both devices and on Dual Router panels. Use
the Macros to Include entry boxes to include these files (Figure 4-15). A macro file is a small text file that
has the suffix .mac. You can “take” a macro file by any of these methods:
●
Include the file on a Dual Router panel
●
Include the file on a source selector panel
●
Schedule the file
●
Use the on-screen app VistaTouch to take the file
●
“Chain” the file in another system setup file
Macro files created for use on the NetWave console are stored on its parent device, in the SesFiles folder on
its VistaMax Server (storage card/DATA/SesFiles). In the past, macro files were hand crafted using a text-
only editor (Windows
®
Notepad) and then transferred to the VistaMax server using FTP Voyager or other FTP
program. Today, VMCC 2.2 includes a Macros & Sessions tab in the Community Explorer pane. Click this
tab to open the Macros & Sessions window where macros and other files can be created and edited (Figure
4-16).
