Hidden Signals
On stereo signals, the right channel Hidden check box (Figure 4-13) is always selected so that only the left
channel name appears in source selector lists. When the Hidden check box is selected, the signal is hidden,
meaning it is not available to be added to any signal include list. To change the Hidden status, click the
check box to select or clear it.
A quick way to select the column check boxes for an entire console is to click once to select a column entry
and then use the keyboard space bar to select or clear that check box. Use the keyboard up and down arrow
keys to quickly step through the list, pressing the spacebar as required to select or clear each check box.
Included Signal Lists
There are separate Include Signals lists for Sources, Macros, and Destinations. The Sources and
Destination Available Signals lists only show those signals in which the Hidden check boxes are cleared
subsection covers macros appearing in the Available Macros list.
Set Dual Router Channel Sources
subsection discusses the list of sources included on each Dual Router
panel fader. The other important include list is the device Include Signals list for each device in the
VistaMax system. The signals from each NetWave console (the analog or digital channel inputs, the four PGM
buses, the cue, the mix-minus signals, and the Telco Record signals) can be made available to any device by
including the desired signals on that device.
Perform these steps to include the desired signals:
1.
Click a device name in Community Explorer (Figure 4-15).
Figure 4-15. Source Include Signals
2.
In the Source Include Signals section, under Devices, select the NetWave console’s name. All the
unhidden source names appear in the Available Signals list.
3.
In the Available Signals list, click to select a signal for the device. Use one of these methods to select
more than one signal:
•
When signals are adjacent to each other, click the first signal on the list and then hold down the
SHIFT key while you click the last signal.
•
When signals are not adjacent to each other, click a signal and then hold down the CTRL key while
you click all other signals.
4.
Click
next to Available Signals to add the signals you selected to the Include Signals list.
5.
Repeat Steps 3 and 4 for each VistaMax device.
