Review the VistaMax or Envoy manual discussion on using VMCC to set up a VistaMax community before
performing these steps:
1.
Click the VMCC File menu item in VMCC 2.1 or earlier versions or the Community menu item in VMCC
2.2.
2.
Select Inspect Community. A community inspection window (Figure 4-4) opens to show all the
VistaMax devices detected, including the new NetWave console, any Dual Router processor cards, and
the other existing VistaMax devices (consoles, card frames, and other edge devices) in the community.

3.
The other community members do not need to be re-inspected, so click to clear those Inspect check
boxes. (Click a check box to select or clear it.) The only Inspect check boxes that should be selected
are for the NetWave console and any processor cards installed as part of the Dual Router kit upgrades.
4.
Dual Router processor cards show up in the list with their MAC address as their Name (Figure 4-4).
Their Type is shown as 1/1 Dest Source Selector. If necessary, perform these steps to widen the
Name column to show the full MAC address:
a.
Point next to the Type heading.
b.
Click the left/right arrow symbol that pops up and drag it to the right.
