PR&E
To install more than one or two accessory panels in a studio, the Harris Broadcast PR&E Host Turret should
be used. It has eight 1.6" accessory panel slots and is available with or without a Clock and Event Timer
(Figure 6-2).
Host Turret
Figure 6-2 shows a Host Turret with a clock-timer display and a timer control panel (PRE99-1450CT). A Low-
Profile Host Turret, without a clock and timer (PRE99-1450), is also available. Each host turret can hold eight
1.6" panels, four 3.2" panels, or a combination thereof. Each Host Turret requires a countertop cutout of 13"
[330] x 5.6" [142].
Figure 6-2. Host Turret with Clock-Timer Display, Application Example
Figure 6-2 shows a typical application for the host turret where a NetWave console is networked with a
VistaMax audio management system with Intercom system, as shown by the two Intercom Audio Expander
and Control panels at the left end of the turret. The middle panels are the host’s mic control panel with a
talk to control room button. On either side of that panel are fader panels to control the studio monitor
speaker level and the host’s H/P level. The last panel on the right is the timer control panel for the event
timer in the clock-timer display. Next to that panel is a monitor source selector for the studio so that the
host can dial up their own monitor source.
In addition to these panels, Harris Broadcast PR&E offers various fixed legend and active LCD button panels
that are compatible with the host turret. These panels can control
