Usage guidelines
A bundle link maintains link status by periodically sending hello messages to its peer end. If the
bundle link sends a hello message but does not receive a hello acknowledgement, it will resend the
hello message. If the bundle link still receives no acknowledgements after the maximum number of
retries is reached, the system
determines that the line protocol on the bundle link is down.
Before configuring this command, make sure you have used the
link-protocol mfr
command to
enable MFR encapsulation on the Frame Relay interface.
Examples
# Set the wait time to 6 seconds for interface Serial 2/1/0.
<Sysname> system-view
[Sysname] interface serial 2/1/0
[Sysname-Serial2/1/0] link-protocol mfr
[Sysname-Serial2/1/0] mfr timer ack 6

Use
mfr timer hello
to set the interval at which a bundle link sends hello messages.
Use
undo mfr timer hello
to restore the default.

A bundle link sends hello messages at the interval of 10 seconds.

Usage guidelines
Before configuring this command, make sure you have used the
link-protocol fr mfr
command to
enable MFR encapsulation on the Frame Relay interface.
