Usage guidelines
The LMI protocol maintains the Frame Relay PVC table. It can perform the following operations:
• Notifies the addition of a PVC.
• Detects the deletion of a PVC.
• Monitors PVC status changes.
• Verifies link integrity.
The system usually supports the following LMI protocols:
• ITU-T Q.933 Annex A.
• ANSI T1.617 Annex D.
• Nonstandard compatible LMI protocol.
