Fraction collector F9-R test
Method description
The Fraction collector F9-R test checks the functionality of Fraction collector F9-R.
The method run takes approximately 3 minutes.
The fraction collector test is evaluated manually and no report is generated.
Note:
Required configuration
A correctly installed Outlet valve, and a correctly installed Fraction collector F9-R are
required to run the test.
Required material
The following materials are required:
•
Distilled water
•
Syringe, 25 to 30 ml
•
7 tubes, 2 ml or larger, for collecting the fractions.
Prepare the Fraction collector
F9-R test
Follow the instructions to prepare the system before method start.

Make sure that the Fraction collector F9-R is connected to port Out 10 on
Outlet valve V9-O or V9H-O

Direct outlet tubing W to a waste container.

Place inlet tubing A1 into distilled water.

Prime inlet A1 and purge System pump A. See Section 5.4.1 Prime buffer inlets
and purge system pumps, on page 166.

Place 7 tubes in the Fraction collector, in positions 1 to 7.

In the System Control module, on the System menu, click Settings

Result: The System Settings dialog box opens.
