System extension overview

Introduction

The ÄKTA avant instrument can easily be extended with additional valves, detectors and
a second fraction collector. There are a large number of different hardware modules to
choose from in order to customize the number of columns, inlets, outlets, detectors and
ways to apply and collect samples. For a list of optional modules see Description of op-
tional modules, on page 26.
