Power Saver Mode
The machine is installed with a Power Saver feature that will automatically power down
the machine if no copy or print data is received after a predetermined time.
The Power Saver feature has two modes, "Low Power mode" and "Sleep mode".
The machine enters the "Low Power mode" after the preset time has elapsed and the
machine has stood idle.
The machine then enters the "Sleep mode" after a further preset time elapses and the
machine has remained idle.
Low Power mode
In this mode, the power to the control panel and fuser unit is lowered to save power.
Sleep mode
Power consumption: 15W
In this mode, the power consumption is reduced even more than in Low Power mode.
When the machine enters the "Low Power mode" or "Sleep mode", the touch screen
goes out, and the <Power Saver> button on the control panel lights. To use the
machine, press the <Power Saver> button. The <Power Saver> button goes out to
indicate that the Power Saver feature is canceled.
Changing the Power Saver Mode Change Interval
The time elapsing from the last operation until the machine enters the Low Power mode
or Sleep mode is set at factory shipment as follows.

Low Power mode: 15 minutes
z
Sleep mode: 60 minutes
As necessary, the procedure for setting the Power Saver feature is as follows.

Press the <Log In/Out> button.

Enter the UserID of the System Administrator
with the numeric keypad or the keyboard dis-
played, and press [Confirm].
Note
•
The default UserID is "11111".
•
If the password entry column is displayed,
enter the administrator password, and press
[Confirm].
The default passcode is "x-admin".
