Audio Tones
This screen allows you to select whether to sound tones when an operation is com-
pleted or the machine malfunctions.
All factory default values are [On].
The following items can be set:
Items Notes
Panel Select Tone Select the tone to sound when a correct button is selected on
the display panel.
Panel Alert Tone Select the tone to sound when a button that cannot be selected
is selected, or an error occurs.
Base Tone
Select the tone to sound at the home position of a toggle button
(changes setting each time it is pressed).
Select the tone to sound when the <Interrupt> button is
pressed during an interrupt, or when the <Copy from Memory>
button/indicator is pressed in the Copy mode.
Machine Ready Tone
Select the tone to sound when the machine is ready to copy or
print, after powering on, etc.
Originals Set Tone Set the tone to sound at the start of a document scanning when
[Scan Start Mode] is set to [Auto Start].
Job Complete Tone Select the tone to sound when a copy or print job completes
normally.
Low Toner Alert Tone Select the tone to sound when the toner is due to be refilled.
Low Media Alert Tone Select the tone to sound when any copy/print is suspended due
to paper running out.
Fault Tone
Select the tone to sound when an error, such as paper jams or
low toner, occurs.
Auto Clear Notice Tone Select the tone to sound 5 seconds before the [Menu] screen
reappears in the Auto Clear mode.
Manual Feed Set Tone Select the tone to sound when media is inserted to the manual
feed tray.
Waste Toner Bottle Full
Alert Tone Select the tone to sound when the waste toner bottle is due to
be replaced.
