Power On/Off
Ensure the power is switched on before operating the machine. The machine is ready
for operation within about four minutes after the power is switched on.
Turn off the machine at the end of the day or when it is not in use for a long period of
time. It is advisable to use the Power Saving feature when not in use to reduce the
power consumption significantly.
Important •
After switching the power on, do not switch it off until the screen comes on.

Switching off the power of the machine may cause loss of data being processed.
Note
•
Even if the power of this machine is switched off, it will use up power of 12 W or less. To
avoid the consumption of this power, you have to turn the power breaker of the printer (main
power switch) off and unplug from the power outlet of the scanner.
Powering On
The procedure for turning on the power is as follows.

Press the power switch to the [ | ] position to turn
the power on.
Note
•
The "Please wait..." message indicates that the
machine is warming up. The machine cannot
be used while it is warming up. After about 4
minutes, the machine becomes ready for use.

If the power does not come on, check if the
power breaker (main power switch) is switched
to [ | ].
If the power breaker is not set, turn the power
off, and then press the [ | ] side of the power
breaker switch and turn on the power. Then,
once again press the [ | ] side of the power
switch and turn on the power.
