2.5.2 Volume
Use the Volume option to adjust or mute the navigation device volume. Two volume
adjustment levels are available. The first level establishes the system volume for your device.
The second, advanced level allows you to adjust the volume for individual Falk Navigator
functions separately if required.
In order to change or mute the system volume, first tap the
Volume
button. You can increase
the volume by tapping the plus symbol or decrease the volume by tapping the minus symbol.
The volume setting is shown by an indicator bar which displays the current setting in relation
to the maximum volume.
You can also mute the volume in a single step. When you tap the speaker symbol, the
volume is muted. To deactivate the mute setting, tap the speaker symbol, the plus symbol, or
the minus symbol.
Confirm your selection with
Ok
or exit the screen with
Cancel
.
In a second level, you can adjust the volume settings for the speakers, the Travel Guide,
MP3 player, Bluetooth® (optional), and system keypad tones separately.
To bring up the advanced volume settings, tap
Advanced
on the volume settings screen.
You can increase the volume (speaker, Travel Guide, MP3 player, system sounds, and
Bluetooth® (optional)) by tapping the plus symbol, or decrease the volume by tapping the
minus symbol – just as in the main volume settings screen.
Note
: If you change the speaker volume, this setting also affects the speed camera and
speed limit warning functions.
Tap
Ok
to save your settings and exit the screen. This takes you back to the main volume
settings level. Tap Cancel to exit the screen without saving your settings.
Note
: The advanced volume settings are always related to the system volume. Therefore,
changing the system volume always changes the volume of the individual Falk Navigator
functions as well.
2.5.3 Speed camera detector
The speed camera detector is an integrated additional function which, in combination
with corresponding speed camera data, warns you when you approach locations where
stationary speed cameras (speed traps) are installed. If you want to use this function, you
can use the Falk Navi-Manager (cf. Chapter 5) to download European speed camera
locations from the Internet free of charge and install them on your mobile navigation device.
Only after you have done this will this function be available on your navigation device.
To switch on the function in the Falk Navigator, tap on the Speed camera detector button on
the Settings menu. You will then be warned accordingly when you approach a speed
camera. To switch the function off again, tap on the button again.
Note
: The numeric display on the speed camera detector symbol refers to the unit in which
speed is measured in a particular country. If 50 is displayed in Germany, this refers to the
speed limit in km/h. When driving in England, the display refers to 50 miles per hour.
Note
: Even after you install speed camera data on your mobile navigation device, the speed
camera detector must be activated in the Settings menu before each navigation.
Attention
: It is illegal to use the speed camera detector in certain countries. Please verify
whether you are allowed to use the speed camera detector in the country you are in. The
speed camera detector is considered operational as soon as you install speed camera data
on your device.
