2.4.9 Rerouting
The
Rerouting
menu function gives you the
option of blocking sections of road for your route
calculation. This allows you to perform alternative
routing without any fuss. This is particularly
helpful, for example, if you wish to avoid
temporary sets of roadworks or unpopular routes
that you are aware of.
Furthermore, you can comfortably manage
diversions
which have been taken into account
as a result of
traffic jam reports
(TMC) and delete them again if necessary.
You can manage all blockages which you put in place via the
Rerouting manager
.
Note:
You can put a maximum of 20 blockages in place.
This is how you block routes:
Click on the map
Tap on
Block road
. You will be taken to the
map view screen showing your current position.
The map is oriented towards the north.
Select the section of road which you wish to
block by tapping on it. A road segment can
always be blocked between two side roads.
You can also select further road segments by
tapping on them. If you tap again on a section
of road you have already selected, the marking
is then cancelled.
In the adjacent window on the map view screen, the
road segments
and the
direction
in
which they are to be blocked can be displayed and amended. The direction of blocking is
entered based on the point of the compass.
You confirm the blocking by tapping on
OK
. Decide whether the blocking should be applied
permanently
or just for the present route calculation.
