example because as a person with local knowledge you found a cleverer route to
the destination for the current time of day, the system registers this.
The likely level of traffic is therefore taken into account when calculating a route depending
on the
time and day
you are travelling. This means that your navigation device will guide
you to your destination more quickly, with no stress and using less fuel via the cleverest Falk
route.
Your Falk navigation device gathers new knowledge and transmits this to the Falk map
server completely anonymously and only with your consent. This ensures that every Falk
navigation device can learn from the experiences of other Falk customers. This gives rise to
a constantly Learning Navigation Community which also utilises the knowledge from people
with local knowledge, e.g. taxi drivers and couriers.
*Requirement: PC with WinXP, Windows Vista or Windows 7 and Internet.
Note: The data which you make available will be treated in completely anonymous form.

nterest are special destinations such as restaurants, hotels, museums, petrol
stations, and much more. The associated destination addresses are already stored in the
Falk Navigator. Instead of entering an address, this means you can also search for POIs in a
wide range of different categories as part of a POI search or in the Travel Guide.
Look-ahead function
The look-ahead function is an automatic word recognition function which predicts and
analyses the information as you enter an address and masks out letters which are no longer
possible. The Falk Navigator continuously searches for possible combinations of letters and,
accordingly, only shows you the fields which can complete the entry of a city or street name.
At the same time, the search results are displayed in a list.
MP3
MP3 (MPEG-1 Audio Layer 3) is the abbreviation for a file format which enables audio data
to be compressed without any loss of quality that is detectable by the human ear. This keeps
the storage capacity required for your music or audio books very low.
SD memory card
The

igital memory card is a digital storage medium for storing songs and audio
book titles as well as additional maps, POIs, cities and tours. Your Falk navigation device is
capable of reading SD memory cards with a storage volume of up to 2 GB (gigabytes). Some
Falk products come with a mini-SD card slot and are only compatible with mini SD cards.
Split Screen
Split Screen is the capability of splitting the navigation screen into a detailed map and an
overview map. This function is only available for devices which have a large screen (4.3”
screen size). Depending on your product, a large arrow display can be shown instead of the
overview map.
