2.4.6 Settings
Numerous different settings can be made. Given the wide variety of settings available,
they are explained in more detail below in Chapter 2.5.
2.4.7 Making telephone calls - Bluetooth® function (optional)
A number of navigation devices are equipped with a Bluetooth® function. This allows you
to establish a wireless connection between your mobile telephone and your navigation
device and then use your navigation device as a hands-free system.
You will find further instructions on how to us the Bluetooth® application in Chapter 2.7
2.4.8 Favourites
The Favourites function allows you to save destinations of your choice so that you can
access them quickly and easily when required without having to re-enter the address.
You can also make POIs (special destinations) which are already preinstalled your personal
favourites. They can then be updated or rate by you.
Note:
A
maximum of 500
favourites can be created on your navigation device.
Click the
Favourites
button in the
main menu
. If no favourites have been created yet, the
selection list is empty. Existing favourites are listed in alphabetical order. You can scroll
between your favourites using the arrow keys.
By tapping the
symbol, you can bring up a keypad which helps you to search for specific
destinations in the list of favourites. For example, if you enter the letter R, only those entries
in the list which begin with the letter R will be shown.
Creating a favourite
To create a new favourite, tap on the “
+
“ symbol.
You have various options for entering the
address. You can create a favourite by:
•
specifying the address (incl. phone number)
•
entering it on the map
•
the current GPS position
•
one of your recent destinations
•
entering
geocoordinates
•
a
POI
Select the destination definition you want and then tap on
Next
.
Enter the
name
.
Note:
If POIs are preinstalled, the complete address is entered as the name. You can use
the back or delete key
(cf. Chapter 2.4.2) to change the name.
Tap on
Next
. Then enter the
telephone number
.
Tap on
Next
and give your favourite a
rating
. A rating can be entered in the form of stars,
with 5 stars corresponding to a top recommendation and 1 star corresponding to a fairly poor
rating. You can use the
no rating
button to delete your personal rating again.
Confirm your entry by tapping
Ok
.
If you do not wish to enter a telephone number or a rating, tap on
Ok.
