2.3.6 Destination entry by selecting a Travel Guide destination
You can select a destination from the Travel Guide using the
Travel Guide
button in the
destination entry screen.
You must first establish where you would like to search for the destination. You can select
the
current location
, a
current destination
(if you are navigating to a destination), a
town/city centre
, your
home address
, a
favourite
or a
recent position
as a central point
for the search.
The data records are calculated. You must then establish the theme category in which you
would like to search for the destination. The themes available are Top Highlights, In the
Evening, Shopping, Eating & Drinking, Art & Culture, Trade Fairs & Transport, Museums,
Attractions, Overnight Accommodation and all available categories at a glance.
Each theme category is subdivided into further sub-categories. For more information on the
category system of the Travel Guide, please see Chapter 3.2.
A list with special destination entries (POI list) will be displayed for each
sub-category
which
you select. You can tap on a list entry to select it and then begin calculating the route by
clicking on the
Calculate
button.
Before you start calculating a route, you can look at the POI in the
detailed view
. You can
get to the detailed view by selecting the relevant entry and then tapping on it again. You can
find further information in Chapter 3.2.
You can start calculating the route to your chosen POI by tapping the
Calculate
button.
2.3.7 Destination entry using tours
You can select several interim destinations and organise them into a tour with your Falk
Navigator. This function can be used to plan a route to several subsequent destinations. You
determine the sequence of the destinations. The Falk Navigator guides you from the first to
the final destination on your tour in the sequence you have established. All you need to do is
confirm your arrival at each interim destination.
Tap the
Tours
button on the destination entry screen.
A new screen is displayed. You can either create a new tour or select an existing tour in
order to navigate to the same interim destinations or to make changes to the list.

2.3.8 Destination entry by clicking on the map - Location
You can select a destination by clicking directly on the map.
Requirement
: GPS reception is available.
Select
Click on map
on the destination entry screen.
Your current or last GPS position will be displayed on the map. By manually moving the map
with your finger, you can select the destination you want and mark your destination by
tapping on it once on the map.
A PIN needle indicates your chosen destination. Start the
route calculation
by tapping on
Calculate
.
