Falk Navi-Manager
In this chapter you will be given a brief introduction to the Falk Navi-Manager. The following
explanations relate to version 2.1 of the Navi-Manager. If you are now using a newer version,
you can find information about this in the program help. You can get to the help section via
the ? in the menu bar of the Navi-Manager program interface. There you will also find
detailed information about the functions which are outlined below, and about further
functions.
The Falk Navi-Manager allows you to keep the data on your mobile Falk navigation device
right up to date at all times. You can use the Falk Navi-Manager to transfer up-to-date
country maps, speakers, POIs, tours, speed camera detector data and Premium GPS data
(optional).
The Navi-Manager also ensures that the navigation device is regularly supplied with the
latest experiences from trips made by all Falk users (cf. Learning Navigation Chapter 6). This
ensures that the Falk navigation device always navigates on the fastest routes at individual
times, depending on the weekday and the time of day.
In addition, you can use the Navi-Manager to transfer individually compiled content from the
Falk Online Community to the navigation device. You can also create your own “
Favourites
”
on the navigation device and transfer them to the Online Community.
Since the storage capacity on your navigation device is limited, the Falk Navi-Manager also
allows you to manage your data; for example, you can limit the data stored on your
navigation device to that currently required and move additional data to a memory card or
your PC.
The Falk Navi-Manager provides you with the following functions:
•
Update navigation software
•
Transfer up-to-date map data (Falk map subscription)
•
Set up, activate and change the theft protection (cf. Chap 1.3.1)
•
Transfer tours from the Falk Online Route Planner to the navigation device
•
POI-import e.g. from Google Earth
•
Update speed camera locations
