Underline Mode
T h e L X - 30 a lso has a mode that will underline character s and
s p aces . Yo u t urn it on with <ESC> -1 and off with <ESC> - 0 .
Not e t h a t th e underline code is like the enlarged code in that it u se s
a ch a r a ct er, in this case the hyphen or minus sign, combined with
the num e ric a l character 1 to turn it on and a character combin ed
wi th th e num e rical character 0 to turn it off. As you can see in
F i g u re 6 - 5 , thi s mode prints a dot in the bottom row of each colu mn ,
t hu s pr o du c in g a continuous underline.
