Turning SelecType Mode On
T o tu rn o n Se l e cT y pe make s ure that the printer is turn e d o n (with
the POWE R , READY , and ON LINE light s all on) , and th en press
the top two b uttons on the p a nel (ON LINE and FF) a t th e same
time, as il l us tr a t e d in Figur e 2-1 . Th e LX-80 will beep t o s i g n al that
it is in SelecTy p e mod e. The READY light also goe s out , and the
ON L I NE lig ht begins flashing. Note that wh e n the prin ter is in
SelecType mo d e, all the p a n e l buttons h a ve new functi ons (also
shown in Fig ur e 2 -1) .

In SelecType mode , the ON LINE button s ele c ts printing f un ctions ,
the FF butto n sets th e functions , and the LF button turn s S e l ecType
off, ret u rning th e p a n e l buttons to their former operation.
