This appendix pro v id es inform a tion about the w a y ASCII codes are
used on the L X - S Oprinter and about the character font s associated
with those co d es. Th e following page s how s th e charact ers corres-
ponding to t h e c o des. The numerical v a lue is giv e n both in decimal
and hexadec im a l . The column marked CHR shows th e c h aracter
printed by t h e LX-SO . Some codes ar e control codes wh ic h have
names in t h e ASCII s t a ndard. All of these name s are in c l uded in
this Appendix so th a t if y ou h ave a computer manual or a software
manual refe rrin g to th e m you c a n see t o which code th ey corres-
pond. Fo ll ow ing that is a tabl e which shows which contr ol codes
actua ll y f un c tion in the LX-SO. Since many software p a ck ages re-
quire that yo u input control character s by pressing the CO NTROL
or CTRL key o n y our k e yboard together with another ke y, a table is
