Start type fields: the [

] key is used to select one of the 3 possible choices:

Immediate: by pressing down the [Start] key in the « MEASUREMENT

Instantaneous » and
« MEASUREMENT

Synoptic » screens,

External synchro: enables the user to remote control the instrument when it is integrated into a
measurement network.

Delayed to the date and hour programmed in the Date and time field,

Hourly re-synchr. : enables the user to start instantly the analyzer in measurement mode, but
with a cycles re-synchronization to the programmed hour. For that, it is necessary to press
down the [Start] key in the screens of the
« MEASUREMENT » menu.
NOTE : In case of delayed start, the following message « Press [Start] to wait for synchro » is
displayed in blinking (see screen shown below). The user has to press down the
[Start] key in the
« MEASUREMENT » menu screens.

Stop type fields: manual, hourly synchro: the user inputs the Date and time field. For the Cycle
number field :

If it is OFF, the number of consecutive cycles is unlimited. The cycle sequence stops when the
user stops the measurements,

If it is ON, the number of consecutive cycles can be set from 0001 to 9999.

Cycles duration: the sampling cycle duration can be set to 1h, 2h, 3h, 4h, 6h, 12h, 24h, 48h,
96h.

N.R.A. (Natural radioactivity) counting fields: with the [

] key, switch ON to activate the
measurement, and then set the duration for the N.R.A. counting to be carried out. This test is
carried out after each periodic measurement before placing the source in « Counting » position.

Reel fields:

A new reel enables the user to sample 1200 particle spots. When the reel is changed, it is
necessary to switch ON to reset the counts.

Remaining Capacity field : it indicates the spot number not used for the particles sampling yet.
