Mark out the filter paper with a pen line to indicate the right side of the nozzle. Press down the
[s] key again to restart the motor : after the motor stop, mark out the filter paper with a second pen
line to indicate the right side of the nozzle. Repeat this operation for verification.

Measure the distance between two lines. This distance corresponds to the feeding step of the filter
paper : check that it is equal to about 22 mm. If it is the case, the ribbon pressure is correct (if it is
not : adjust again the clutches).

To quit the Filter field and return to screen (1), press down the [

] key.
3.3.6.3.2 Motor of the source holder (nozzle) :

Using the [

] [

] keys, go to the Nozzle field of the screen.

On the last line of screen (1), press down the [Test] key : the screen shown below is displayed :

In this screen, press down the [s] key located below « Counting » to start the motor of the source
holder : the source takes place in front of the Geiger counter, in counting position. The motor
stops after five seconds.

Press down the [s] key located below « Sampling » to start the source holder motor : the source
takes place in sampling in position. The motor stops after five seconds.

Check that there is no obstruction (for instance, filter holder wrongly placed) between the source
holder in inlet and the filter.

To quit the Nozzle field and go back to screen (1), press down the [

] key.
