Regolazione cavi di
comando acceleratore e
starter
Importante
Operando sui cavi di comando
acceleratore e starter si può
compromettere la registrazione del
corpo farfallato. Consultare il
paragrafo “Registrazione corpo
farfallato” alla sezione D 5.
La manopola di comando
dell’acceleratore in tutte le posizioni
di sterzata deve avere una corsa a
vuoto, misurata sulla periferia del
bordino della manopola, di
2÷4 mm.
Se è necessario regolarla, agire
sull’apposito registro (1) situato in
corrispondenza del comando stesso.
Regolazioni più consistenti sul cavo
dell’acceleratore si possono
effettuare agendo sul registro (2)
posto sul lato destro del corpo
farfallato.
Dopo aver sfilato il cappuccio,
allentare il controdado (3) e operare
sul registro (2) per stabilire il gioco
prescritto.
Serrare il controdado e calzare il
cappuccio di protezione.
Registrare la corsa del cavo di
comando starter ruotando nella
posizione massima la leva di
comando sul manubrio e verificando
che la piastrina (6) sia in appoggio sul
relativo finecorsa.
Controllare in questa condizione che il
motore giri a un regime di
2000 giri/
min. Per regolare il regime agire sulla
vite (7).
Agire analogamente a quanto
descritto per il cavo dell’acceleratore
operando sul registro (4) dopo aver
allentato il controdado (5).
Periodicamente è necessario
controllare la condizione delle guaine
esterne del cavo di comando
acceleratore e del cavo comando
starter. Non devono presentare
schiacciamenti o screpolature nel
ricoprimento plastico esterno.
Per mantenere la scorrevolezza dei
comandi lubrificare periodicamente
l'estremità del cavo di ogni
trasmissione flessibile con grasso
prescritto.
Verificare, agendo sul comando, il
funzionamento scorrevole del cavo
interno: se si manifestano attriti o
impuntamenti sostituirlo.
Adjusting the throttle and
choke cables
Caution
Adjustment of the throttle and
choke cables may affect the throttle
body adjustments. Read the
paragraph “Adjusting the throttle
body” in section D 5.
The throttle twistgrip must have a
free travel of
2-4 mm (measured on
the twistgrip rim) in all steering
positions.
Fine adjustment can be made by
turning the adjuster (1) on the
twistgrip.
For larger adjustments of the throttle
cable, use the adjuster (2) located on
the RH side of the throttle body.
Remove the cap, loosen the lock nut
(3) and turn the adjuster (2) to obtain
the required play.
Tighten the lock nut and refit the cap.
To adjust the choke control cable,
turn the control level on the handlebar
until fully open and check that the
plate (6) is touching the end stop.
In this condition, ensure that engine is
at
2000 rpm. Turn screw (7) to adjust
the rpm.
Likewise, loosen the lock nut (5) and
work the adjuster (4) to adjust the
throttle control cable.
Check for proper conditions of the
outer sheaths of the throttle and
choke cables at regular intervals. The
outer plastic sheath should not be
damaged or cracked.
To ensure smooth operation of these
cables, grease the cable ends with
the recommended grease at regular
intervals.
Work the throttle or operate the
choke lever to make sure core cable
is sliding smoothly. If not so, change
the cable.
