Correct handling of the machine
WARNING:
Exhaust gas from the engine is
toxic. Do not operate the engine in a poorly-ven-
tilated location, such as in a tunnel, building, etc.
Operating the engine in a poorly-ventilated location
may cause poisoning by exhaust gas.
WARNING:
If you detect any strange
sounds, odor, or vibrations after starting, stop the
engine immediately and inspect it.
If the engine
is operated without attending to such problems, an
accident may occur.
WARNING:
To avoid accidents, maintain a
distance of more than 15 m (50 ft) between oper
-
ators when two or more operators are working
in one area. Be sure that there is someone there
to observe the distance between operators. If a
person or an animal enters the work area, immedi
-
ately stop operation.
CAUTION:
Do not run the engine with no
load or run at a higher speed than required .
Doing
so may cause an engine malfunction.
Always hold the machine on your right side and slide it
from right to left when cutting grass. Correct positioning
and handling allow optimum control and reduce the risk
of injury caused by kickback.

NOTE:
The bump feed will not operate properly if the
head is not rotating.
NOTE:
If a nylon cord does not feed out, replace with
the new nylon cord.
Adjusting the throttle trigger
The maximum engine speed can be controlled by
regulating the throttle trigger movement. Turn the
adjustment dial in direction A as in the figure for higher
maximum engine speed, and in direction B for lower
maximum engine speed.
