Connect the FOMA phone and the FOMA
USB Cable. (See page 3)

This display automatically appears when you set “FOMA
P704i
ȝ
CD-ROM” into the personal computer. It may
not appear depending on the settings of your personal
computer. In this case, go to step 4.
Ɣ
If this display appears during installation of the “P704i
ȝ
communication setup files” (driver), close the display.

Installing Communication Setup
Files (Driver)
Installing the communication setup

les (driver)
is required when you connect the FOMA phone to
your personal computer via the FOMA USB Cable
(option) for the
fi
rst time.
Ɣ
Operate as the user who has the PC administrator right.
Start Windows
®
, then set the provided
“FOMA P704i
ȝ
CD-ROM” into the
personal computer.
Close the “FOMA P704i
ȝ
CD-ROM”
display.
Turn on the power to the FOMA phone,
then connect the FOMA USB Cable,
which is already connected to the FOMA
phone, to the personal computer.
Start installation.
Pop-up message “
新しいハードウェアが見つかりました
(New hardware was found)” appears for a few seconds from
the indicator of the task bar, then the display below appears.
Open “
ドライバソフトウェアを検索してインストールし
ます
(Search and install driver software)”, then click “
続行
(Continue)”.
Ɣ
This display may not appear depending on the personal
computer you use.

Next, confirm that the “P704i
ȝ
communication setup files” (driver)
are installed correctly. (See page 31)
Detect new hardware.
Select “
ディスクはありません。他の方法を試します

is found. Try another method)”, and select “

computer and search driver software)”.
Select a driver.
Uncheck “
サブフォルダも検索する
(Search the sub folders too)”.

(Browse)”; specify “<CD-ROM drive name>:

_USB_Driver ¥WinVista32”; then click “
次へ
(Next)”.
(The CD-ROM drive name varies depending on the personal
computer you use.)
Click “
閉じる
(Close)”.
All the four “P704i
ȝ
communication setup files” (driver) (see
page 31) are installed.
After the installation of all the “P704i
ȝ
communication setup
files” (driver) is completed, a pop-up message “
デバイスを使
用する準備ができました。デバイス ドライバ ソフトウェアが
正しくインストールされました。
(The system is ready to use
the device. The device driver software was installed correctly.)”
appears for a few seconds from the indicator of the task bar.
