5.3
Heating and cooling connections for units without valves or with on-site valves
provided by others
5.3.1 Mounting connections
•
At the beginning of the fitting procedure, remove caps on the water inlet and
outlet pipes.
•
Fit the connections while ensuring they are free of mechanical stress.
5.3.2 Location connections
The following pages provide a detailed description of the location and dimensions
of the connections for the 2-pipe system (Fig. 5-5) and the 4-pipe system (Fig. 5-
6).
5.3.3 Medium connection in a 2-pipe system
Run non-insulated pipes and if necessary valves in a 2-pipe system straight
above the lateral condensate pan to collect condensate from the pipes during
cooling.
•
Please observe all instructions in Section5.3.1 "Mounting connections" on
page 56.
•
Run the pipes at a right angle to the side or upwards.
•
Screw in the connections.
•
Mount the lateral drain pan as described in "Mounting lateral condensate
pan" on page 65 (not for only-heating units).
RISK OF DAMAGE TO THE UNIT!
During installation, the connecting nut on the heat exchanger must be coun-
tered using a suitable tool.
NOTICE!
In units with a cooling function and without valve, make sure that the cooling
medium is shut off if a fan is deactivated!
NOTICE!
The pipe connections of the heat exchanger always have the internal screw
thread size R1/2".
