Mounting
4.1
Installation site
Type, condition and ambient temperature of the installation site must be suitable
for the relevant fan coil unit (refer to Chapter 1.5 and Chapter 1.6). Consider the
following points:

Ceiling or mounting systems must be capable of bearing the weight of the unit,
including all accessories.
–
Only indoor mounting of the unit is allowed.
–
To ensure the fixing of the nuts to the threaded rods, observe a minimum dis-
tance of 250 mm to adjacent installations or walls on each side of the HyCas-
sette-Geko. The clearance on the electric switch cabinet side must be larger
than the required service opening (seeChapter 4.2).
4.2
Recommended service opening for maintenance work
In order to carry out all necessary service and maintenance work on the fan coil
unit it is recommended that a service opening with the following dimensions is
provided in the false ceiling:
–
With grid ceilings a grid element 600 x 600 mm (see Fig. 4-1)
on the medium connection and electric switch cabin side.
–
With a closed ceiling construction at least
500 x 500 mm big opening (see Fig. 4-2).
HAZARDOUS VOLTAGE!
Before drilling, ensure that the drilling area is free from electrical cables and
pipes.
PERSONAL INJURY!
Injury may be caused by falling parts and sharp edges!
Wear a helmet, safety boots and protective gloves when installing the unit. Ceil-
ing installations should always be performed by two persons.
NOTE!
It must be ensured that no mechanical deformations or twisting occurs when in-
stalling units in different positions and configurations.
