Range of Application
2.3.1 Ambient conditions
The air temperature inside the intake area of HyCassette-Geko (centered in the
inlet area of the intake nozzle) must be kept b6° and 40°C (in heating
mode max 30°C), higher or lower temperatures are not permissible. It is only
allowed to operate the unit with a relative humidity according to Fig. 2-2.
In the limit value range, the opening of the air-directing fins should be approx. 25
mm (only 4-way) and not be in use over a longer period of time (> 3 h), because
fluctuations in temperature or humidity will cause condensation on the casing or
the fins.
2.3.2 Medium inlet temperature
To prevent condensate from forming on non-insulated casing parts when the tem-
perature falls below the dew point during cooling operation, certain minimum
water inlet temperatures must be maintained. These temperatures depend on
ambient temperature and indoor relative humidity and are specified in the follow-
ing diagram (seeFig. 2-2).
Example:
The room temperature is 28°C, the relative humidity is 55%. According to the dia-
gram (Fig. 2-2) the minimum allowed water inlet temperature amounts to 9°C.
NOTE!
Only a maximum of 50% of the air-directing fins should be shut during cooling
operation.
Fig. 2-2:
Minimum allowed medium inlet temperature as a function of indoor air condition; air pressure = 1013 hPa;
j = relative humidity
NOTE!
A dry cooling system (without condensation) is recommended if the unit is used
in rooms of class II according to DIN 1946-4!
