omconfig system events
Use the
omconfig system events
command to enable and disable SNMP traps for components on
your system.
NOTE:
Not all event types may be present on your system.
There are four parameters in the name=value pair component of the
omconfig system events
command:
•
source
•
type
•
severity
•
index
Source
At present,
source=snmptraps
is a required name=value pair because SNMP is currently the only
supported source of event notification for your system’s components.
omconfig system events source=snmptraps
Type
The event type refers to the name of the component(s) involved in the event. Table 4-25 shows the valid
parameters for system event types.
