create fdb vlanid
Description
This command is used to create
an entry into the switch’s unicast MAC address forwarding
database using the VLAN ID.
Format
create fdb vlanid <vidlist> <macaddr> [port <port> | drop]
Parameters
<vidlist>
- Enter the VLAN ID used here.
<macaddr>
- Specify the MAC address to be added to the static forwarding table.
port
- The switch will always forward traffic to the specified device through this port.
<port>
- Specify the port number corresponding to the MAC destination address.
drop
- Specify to have the switch drop traffic.
Restrictions
Only Administrator, Operator and Power-User level users can issue this command.
Example
To create an unicast MAC forwarding:
DGS-3620-28SC:admin#create fdb vlanid 1 00-11-22-33-44-55 port 1:5
Command: create fdb vlanid 1 00-11-22-33-44-55 port 1:5
Success.

create multicast_fdb
Description
This command is used to make an entry into the switch’s multicast MAC address forwarding
database.
Format
create multicast_fdb <vlan_name 32> <macaddr>
Parameters
<vlan_name 32>
- Specify the name of the VLAN on which the MAC address resides. The
maximum length is 32 characters.
<macaddr>
- Specify the multicast MAC address to be added to the static forwarding table.
