If the CFM is disabled on a port:
1. MIPs are never created on that port.
2. MEPs can still be created on that port, and the configuration can be saved.
3. MEPs created on that port can never generate or process CFM PDUs. If the user issues a Loopback or
Link trace test on those MEPs, it will prompt the user to inform them that the CFM function is disabled on
that port.
Format
config cfm ports <portlist> state [enable | disable]
Parameters
<portlist>
- Enter the list of ports used for this configuration.
state
- Specifies that the CFM function will be enabled or disabled.
enable
- Specifies that the CFM function will be enabled.
disable
- Specifies that the CFM function will be disabled.
Restrictions
Only Administrators, Operators and Power-Users can issue this command.
Example
To configure the CFM ports:
DGS-1510-28XMP/ME:admin# config cfm ports 2-5 state enable
Command: config cfm ports 2-5 state enable
Success.

Description
This command is used to show the CFM state of specified ports.

show cfm ports <portlist>

- Enter the list of logical ports.
