To display MAC-layer information for a specific CM, use the
debug cable mac
command in privileged
EXEC mode. The
no
form of this command disables debugging output.
debug cable mac-protocol
no debug cable mac-protocol
Syntax Description
This command has no arguments or keywords.

Usage Guidelines
Do not use this command if you have a large number of CMs on your network. The Cisco CMTS will
become flooded with console printouts.

The following example shows the return for the MAC layer:
