Open the
[Video and Audio Menu] to set the audio reception from the camera, the audio transmission from the Viewer
and the corresponding volumes.
Receiving Audio
Receive audio from the microphone and play it back in the Viewer. Administrator privilege or audio distribution privilege is
required.
Audio reception starts.
The [Audio Reception] button icon will change to active (purple) while receiving audio.
Note
• To receive audio, it is required to connect the microphone to the camera (not needed for
) and set [Audio Input] to [Enable]
in [Audio] > [Audio] > [General Audio] (P. 92) and set [Audio Transmission from the Camera] to [Enable] in [Audio] > [Audio] >
[Audio Server] (P. 93) on the Settings page.
• While the icon is active (purple), audio is constantly received even if the [Video and Audio Menu] is closed.
However, even if the icon is active (purple), audio input from the microphone will not be received because there is no sound sent
from the camera in the following cases.
– While the administrator is transmitting audio when [Audio Communication Method] is set to [Half Duplex] in [Audio] > [Audio] >
[General Audio] on the Settings page (P. 92)
– While Camera’s pan/tilt is being operated when [Mute During Pan/Tilt] is set to [Mute] in [Audio] > [Audio] > [General Audio]
(P. 92) on the Settings page.
• During the audio reception, [Audio Compression Method] cannot be changed. Click the
[Audio Reception] button to
temporarily stop receiving the audio.
• When using audio function with proxy server, it is required to select the [Use a proxy server for your LAN] checkbox in [Network
and Internet] > [Internet options] > [Connections] tab > [LAN settings] > [Proxy server] in [Control Panel], then specify the
camera IP address in [Advanced] > [Exceptions].
Receiving/Transmitting Audio

elect the compression method for audio data to be received in [Audio Compression Method] of
[Video and
Audio Menu].

[Audio Reception] button.

With the [Output Volume] slider, adjust the volume to an appropriate level.
