: Selecting the AF Operation

When you press the shutter button
halfway and the camera is focusing with
AF, the <

> icon will appear on the

lower right of the viewfinder.
In One-Shot AF mode, the icon also
appears if you press the shutter button
halfway after focus is achieved.

By default, the AF points light up in red when focus is achieved in low-
light conditions or on a dark subject. In the <

>, <

or <

> mode, you can set whether to have the AF points light up in red

when focus is achieved (p.150).
