25.3. Calibrating milk meter
Steps To calibrate the milk meter, follow the steps in
Scheme 25-3 .
STEP ACTION
1. Switch the milking box in
SERVICE
operation mode.
2. Hang a steelyard.
3. Set the steelyard at 0.
4. Hang a bucket between milk meter and receiver jar.
5. Milk at least 3 cows manually.
Yield per cow in the
MILK BOX STATE
part in the
BRI
main
screen > 5 kg.
6. Weigh the milk of each cow in the milk bucket.
The value may not deviate more than 2% yield in kg from
the value that is displayed in the
MILK BOX STATE
part in the
BRI
main screen.
7. Calculate the new calibration value with the next formular:
Milk meter cal. (0.105) x steelyard value (bucket)

8. Add all calculated calibration values that you calculated in step 7 and
divide this by the number of milked cows.
9. Open the
SETTINGS
tab of the
SERVICE
window in
BRI
.
10. Press the
MILK SETTINGS
button (see section 8.9 ).
The milk settings (see Figure 25-6 ) will be displayed.
