Work Involving Multiple Cranes
§ 33.
(1) If the work ranges of multiple cranes overlap, then the customer, or his authorized
representative must previously specify the work sequence and ensure trouble-free
communication among the crane operators.
(2) If a load is lifted jointly by multiple cranes, then the work procedure must be specified by
the customer or his authorized representative beforehand, and the work procedure must be
executed in the presence of a supervisory person assigned by the customer.
Maintenance
§ 34.
(1) Maintenance work should only be executed when the crane is switched off.
Maintenance tasks that are not possible from the ground should only be executed from work
stands or platforms.
(2) Paragraph 1 sentence 1 does not apply if the maintenance work can only be executed
during crane operation, if during work:
1. No crushing or falling hazards exist,
2. No hazards of touching live components exist and
3. There is voice contact or visual contact between crane maintenance personnel and crane
operator.
Entering and Exiting Cranes
§ 35
(1) It is prohibited for unauthorized personnel to get on cranes.
(2) Cranes with operators can only be entered or exited with the consent of the crane
operator, and only when the crane has been brought to standstill.
Personal Transport
§ 36
. (1) Transporting persons with the load or with the load suspension device is prohibited.
(2) It is prohibited to step on lifted loads or raised load suspension gear.
Pulling loads diagonally, dragging loads and moving vehicles with cranes
Article 37.
(1) Pulling diagonally, or dragging loads, as well as moving vehicles with the load
or the load suspension devices are prohibited.
Breaking stuck loads loose
§ 38.
It is prohibited to break stuck loads loose.
