2.3 Environmental characteristics
2.3.1 Temperature specifications
Since the various system units can be combined with a monitor/panel option and interface option, the following
tables provide an overview for determining the maximum, minimum and typical ambient temperatures possible
based on these components.
Information:
The minimum and maximum specified ambient temperatures have been calculated for operation un-
der worst-case conditions. Experience has shown that higher ambient temperatures can be achieved
in typical applications, e.g. in Microsoft Windows. Testing and evaluation in this regard must be per-
formed on-site by the user in each individual case (temperatures can be read in BIOS or using the B&R
Control Center, for example).
Information regarding worst-case conditions
•
Thermal Analysis Tool (TAT V5) from Intel for simulating 100% processor load (100% workload, 100%
memory)
•
BurnInTest tool (BurnInTest V7.1 Pro from PassMark Software) for simulating a 100% gigabit network load.
•
