The above settings are used to establish the proper communication between the IED (Rear
Port RS485) and Relay Talk V2 software from the Computer. The above settings should be
set the same in Relay Talk as well in the IED for the successful communication.
The USB port settings (USB Parity and Baud rate) are fixed i.e. Parity: None and Baud rate:
57600.
CT and Frequency Settings
The Current transformer setting is required to set for perfect scaling for current
measurement. The primary and secondary values of current settings are set in the IED and
system nominal frequency as given below table.

The above settings are have to be set based on the Electrical power system parameters to
establish the proper measurement of current in the IED.
Local Control Setting
A Local Control parameter setting is provided with Enable or Disable option. This is used to
operate the relay locally by issuing the CB Trip/ Close command through the relay HMI when
it is enabled.
DR Pre Trigger Setting
The Disturbance Recorder Pre Trigger setting is provided with setting range of 10 % to 90%.
This is used to set the pre fault delay in the Disturbance Recorder.
