Calibration - Implements with star wheel drive
When calibrating the seed rate, the later field
pass is simulated by rotating the seeding shaft.
The seeding shaft is rotated with the central key
(Fig. 74) in the control centre.
The seed metered in the process is collected and
weighed.
The required seeding shaft speed is calculated
from the simulated area (e.g. 1/40 ha) and the
weight of the collected seed.

rate is provided in the table (Fig. 75/A).

The usual area for the calibration test is 1/40 ha.
With very low seeding rates, e.g. with rapeseed,
it is recommended to perform the calibration test
for 1/10 ha.
